"Not-so-Deep thoughts" - by Fern (aka LE BIX) --------------------------------------------- Vol. 1, No. 8 19/June/1998 VIDEO GAME CENTRAL, California - Clearly one of the best games of the tournament had come to an end a couple of hours ago. Spain and Paraguay put on an athletic show of global proportions as the two countries played an exhilirating match full of suspense, comedy, heroism and heroinism. To many soccer aficionados, these were the ingredients of a 0-0 game. Yes it's true, a 0-0 game, the kind of result that Americans hate, almost the same as a hockey match is played devoid of physical incidents. But take our word for it, this was a great game. Spanish citizens are probably in a tizzy now, what with their great team now brandishing a disappointing 0-1-1 record. They are going to have to pray real hard about now. Look for Chilavert, Paraguay's extroverted goalkeeper/free kick taker, to have a greater impact in the match against Nigeria. Didn't get to see the Nigeria v. Bulgaria match yet. But I got it on tape. No more updates until next Monday. Peace, -fb
