Issue # 1.0.1 "Pac-10 Gets Two Top Seeds..."
2000 HWCI NCAA TOURNAMENT POOL
==============================
DUKE & MICH-ST REPEAT AS #1 SEEDS; ARIZONA AND STANFORD GET OTHER TWO
Unexpected seedings are sure to make this tourney unpredictable
EL SEGUNDO/LA MIRADA, CA (smt)- The summer heat must be playing
tricks on me as I thought I heard UCLA got a #6 seed. I also heard that
the best team (as of 3/8), Cincy, got a #2 seed due to an injury while
Arizona got a #1 seed despite an injury (and therefore two losses to the
Oregon teams). The rumor is also that the current North Carolina team made
it. Also, supposedly, TWO Pac-10 teams took #1 seeds despite each team
losing twice in the past two weeks. Must be the heat...
Well, we can now concentrate on the 6th Annual HWCI NCAA Tournament
Pool. Five years, five different pool champions. A record 36 entries
blazed the pool with yet another first-timer winning it all (five years
in a row). Just four people picked UConn to win it all (three won
money). This year, there was one team that was likely to win it all,
but now Cincy seems to be out of the picture. Will Duke win what they
should have last year? Could this be the season that no #1 seeds make
the Final Four? Let the picking begin!
