3/21/97, Issue # 8.3.2 "Listen to Frodo"

    #4 Arizona shocked the number one team in the country, #1 Kansas (34-2), 85-82, to advance to the Elite Eight.  Kansas, the first #1 seed to fall in the tourney, rallied from 13 points down with 3:29 left to within one, (83-82) but three 3-pt attempts fell short on their last possession.  Only FRODO had Arizona beating Kansas and his foresight eliminated BAD ASS I from money contention, even though he is tied for third in points with 91.  FORDO also has Arizona going to the Final Four, an almost sure bet now that they get to play #10 Providence.  Providence beat #14 Tenn-Chat, but couldn't make free throws and allowed Tenn-Chat to almost catch up in the last minute.

    #1 North Carolina rallied in the second half to put away #5 Cal.  All 22 entries had UNC in the Elite Eight.  UNC plays #6 Louisville on Saturday, who beat #10 Texas.  If it weren't for all the upsets in the tourney, it would look like a sure bet that UNC and Arizona would meet in the Final Four.  BUCKEYE MIKE is last with 72 points and is in danger of setting a new all-time low for points.  His BEST would tie the lowest point total (80) if UNC beats Louisville on Sunday.  JAYBIAN II still leads with 99 points, the first time the leader after Round 3 was held to under 100 points.

    Thirteen are still in the running for money with seven games left.
