            The Kentucky Wildcats beat the Syracuse Orangemen, 76-67, to win the 1996 NCAA Basketball Championship in East Rutherford, NJ.  Even a leaky roof couldn't help the Orangemen.

            As for the HWCI NCAA Pool, JOSEPH and JAMES took 2nd and 3rd, respectively, to round out the top 3 spots.  THE TAUREAN exactly picked 143 total points while THE FABONE was off by just one point.  HATE THE DUCKS (for 12th place) and SAY IT AIN'T SO JOE (10th) won their tiebreakers.  The 1997 HWCI NCAA Pool Champ JAYBIAN finished with 144 points.
