==============================
ARIZONA AND KENTUCKY WILDCATS FALL ON DAY OF UPSETS
Money falls as Jackass takes sole possesion of first
PASADENA, CA (smt)- Four top seeds, including #1W-Arizona, fell
in the first day of the 2nd Round. Once again, all four #1 seeds
won't make the Final Four. The top three seeds in the West are gone
in the Region of Death. In the Midwest, 3 of the top 4 seeds advance.
#8W-Wisconsin controlled tempo and stunned top seed #1W-Arizona,
66-59. #6W-Purdue became the third straight Big 10 team to eliminate
#3W-Oklahoma in the tournament, 66-62, thanks to a questionable foul on
Purdue's three-point attempt. #4W-LSU broke open a 60-60 game to beat
#5W-Texas, 72-67. #10W-Gonzaga does it again, upsetting #2W-St. John's,
82-76, repeating their effort last year.
#4MW-Syracuse and #5MW-Kentucky played a close game throughout but
second chance points helped Syracuse sneak by, 52-50. #1MW-Michigan St.
met up with a determined #8MW-Utah team but prevailed, 73-61.
#2MW-Iowa St. took care of #7MW-Auburn, 79-60. #6MW-UCLA blew an early
14-2 lead but then exploded toward the end of the first half and never
let up, routing #3MW-Maryland, 105-70.
MONEY (5th, 69) took just 3 of 8 games to fall out of first place.
JACKASS (1st, 73) takes first place with MORALES' MOUNDS (2nd, 72) and
JAFMAN (3rd, 71) close behind. BETHEON (36th, 52), despite being the
only one to pick Gonzaga sits in last place. No one picked
Wisconsin's upset but 12 picked Purdue to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
ALSTAR (6th, 68) was the only one to go 6-2 to jump from a tie of 26th
to a tie for 6th.
